Workshop Overview

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (Commission) is continuing its Public Water Supply Assistance Program by developing a partnership with public water supply managers and decision makers in managing the water resources of the Basin. The Commission is developing this partnership so public water supply managers and Commission staff can share their experiences and discuss the challenges and opportunities faced by many public water systems.

The Commission has developed a new workshop, Water Resource Management Considerations for Public Water Supply Managers, to be held on Wednesday November 9, 2016, at the Commission’s Conference Center located at 4423 N. Front Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110. The Commission has partnered with forward-thinking public water supply managers and planners to develop workshop content that is relevant and beneficial to public water suppliers. The November 9, 2016 workshop will feature presentations from Commission staff, the Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority, the Tioga County Planning Commission, the Mount Joy Borough Authority, and Ephrata Borough.

The workshop is being offered free of charge and has been pre-approved by the PA Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) for two contact hours for Pennsylvania-certified water operators (drinking water contact hours). Each workshop is limited to the first 50 participants who complete registration.

The workshop has been made possible through a partnership with the PADEP as part of the Public Water Supply Assistance Program.

For more information on the workshop, please contact Brent Bauman, P.G., at 717-238-0423 ext. 1235, or through PWSAP@srbc.net.
